Delivery Programs for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities & Camp Fire Survivors

Offering five prepared to-go meals for seniors (age 60 and older) available for weekly pick-up at local participating senior centers. No cost for meals. Suggested donation of $2.50 or sliding scale donation for each meal. To-Go Meals are distributed at locations in Chico, Oroville, and Gridley at participating senior centers. 

Intake by phone, individuals interested in picking up to-go meals will complete intake process outlined below:
– Call Passages Senior Nutrition to RSVP at 530-898-4224 by Friday for pickup on Wednesday. Please note that this line is solely for leaving RSVP messages, and is not available for program questions.
-On the intake RSVP phone line, participants will be asked to leave a message with their first and last name, date of birth, and the participating senior center where they will be picking up the to-go meal.
-Participants can also designate another person to pick up meals on their behalf, if this is the case they will need to include the name of the person picking up their meal on the RSVP message.
– Once RSVPed, participants will pick up to-go meals at one of the following sites on Wednesdays from 11:30am-1pm.

Paradise Adventist Church, in partnership with Love Paradise, is offering a grocery assistance and delivery program for Camp Fire survivors affected by the COVID-19 crisis. This service is free and requires registration. No fee for grocery assistance and delivery services (under $50). Please Note: If grocery bill goes over $50, Camp Fire Survivors must pay the difference.

Please Note: Camp Fire survivors may access the Love Delivers program twice per month for grocery assistance. However, if a survivor would like access to free-delivery, Love Delivery may accommodate that service once per week. Holiday Market is willing to accept CalFresh for the amount above $50, however, Camp Fire survivors must go to the store themselves to complete the transaction.

4.) You will receive $50 worth of grocery assistance through Holiday Market. If your grocery bill goes above $50, Love Delivers will process a credit or debit card for the difference.
5.) Your groceries will be delivered for free as soon as full-payment has been received

Offering free deliveries of groceries and other basic needs. Chico DSA will help get groceries, prescriptions or other supplies needed to stay safe during the COVID-19 outbreak. All deliveries are ‘no contact’ deliveries, with groceries and other basic needs supplies delivered to curbside/doorstep.
The cost of groceries is not covered through the service, however, free or subsidized groceries are also available as donations permit. The availability of free groceries is entirely dependent on donations and is not guaranteed.

No fee for delivery. Cost of groceries or supplies is based on grocery receipts, and payment by cash, card, or check is available; however, Venmo or Paypal is the preferred method of payment as it does not require any contact. Those in need of assistance with setting up Venmo is available by phone.

Offering a request form focused on assisting those affected by COVID-19. The North Valley Mutual Aid request form provides a list of possible services including: Deliveries (of groceries, medicine and other essentials), transportation, home-cooked meals and meal preparation, and more. For individuals located in Butte County/North Valley area affected by COVID-19 in need of assistance.

Provides the elderly and other homebound individuals with nutritious, balanced meals delivered to their homes. Serves meals to clients in Chico, Paradise, Magalia, and Durham. For elderly and homebound individuals, please call for further eligibility, application, and information.

Set fees/sliding scale. Those unable to pay the full cost of the meal are subsidized according to their income. Meals cost $5.25 per meal billed to the client at the end of the month.

Provides home delivered nutritious meals to homebound seniors. For homebound adult seniors age 60 and older living in Orland or Willows. There is a suggested donation of $3.00 per meal, however, no one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

Available to those already enrolled. An application is required to receive home delivered meals. As of 09/03, Passages is accepting applications for the wait list. Please call for information: 530-898-5923

Services through the Great Plates Delivered Program through the Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services will not be extended in Butte County. On June 9th, 2020, the Office of the Governor announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance program authorized an extension for the Great Plates Delivered Program.
Although this announcement was made by the Governor, the local administrator for the program in Butte County, Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services, has not announced an extension to the original deadline in Butte County which was June 1st for new applicants and June 10th for program operations.

Delivery Services for General Public

Offering expedited implementation of EBT online purchasing in response to COVID-19. Individuals and families can now purchase groceries online using their EBT card at Amazon and Walmart. If individuals receive CalWORKs, they may also be able to use their cash benefits to make purchases online at Wal-Mart. Please note:  Depending on the location and availability of food items, a delivery fee may vary from $3.99 to $7 for food purchases less than $35. Walmart Grocery Delivery using EBT is currently unavailable in California, curbside pick-up options are offered .

Available to CalFresh recipients. Please see information below for those who need to register for CalFresh benefits. When individuals buy $35 or more in groceries online from Amazon, home
delivery is free. Pickup for online orders from Walmart will be offered through curbside pickup.

Offering meal deliveries (Chico only for now) or pick ups twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays. Shelley’s Creative Catering will provide 3 meal options and one soup, per menu. Meals will be fully cooked and in to-go boxes or containers, ready to heat and serve or refrigerate.

Service Description: Offering grocery/supply/food delivery services to residents of Oroville. Fees vary depending on the distance of the delivery. (Fees will be based on the standard cab fare it would take to drive from the grocery store/restaurant to the individual’s home) Hours vary. Offering online grocery/supply shopping and deliveries to individual households.
Shoppers will select their items on Instacart, and then have the option to set up a delivery schedule where groceries/supplies may be delivered within the day or later during the week. Curbside Pick-Up Information

Offering free curbside pickup services to all shoppers.  All shoppers interested in receiving curbside pickup services may call Chico Natural Foods at (530) 891-1713, place their order and pay over the phone.

Shoppers will arrive at the Chico Natural Foods parking lot and call Chico Natural Foods to communicate their location. Shoppers may open their trunk or other car storage and a staff member will place the groceries in the vehicle. Debit and credit card payments are accepted for orders submitted online and by phone.

Offering pull-up curbside service and free delivery on orders over $25 during normal business hours for customers who want to limit their exposure to public spaces. Deliveries are only offered in Chico.

Customers may pull up to one of the parking spaces in front of the store and honk once. Staff will then come out to their car to provide assistance and finish the transaction.
